What happens after I place my order? Last updated Dec 13, 2021

Each item on Tradesy is pre owned and has been listed for sale by an individual seller. After you place an order for your item(s), we let the seller know they have a sale and should ship to you as soon as possible. While you're charged immediately for the purchase, Tradesy doesn't pay sellers unless or until after the item is delivered to you. This means that most sellers ship right away! In fact, they have 4 days from when you check out to confirm that they still have the item to ship, or the order will automatically be canceled. As the buyer, you can be assured that you'll get what you ordered or your money back. Tradesy will also email you all order updates along the way, including your tracking number once it's available - which you'll also find on your Purchases page.

Within four days of your purchase

When you place an order, you'll receive an order number and an email confirmation. Tradesy also authorizes your payment source for the order total. We'll then prompt the seller each day to log in to their Tradesy account to confirm they have the item to ship to you. If the seller does not acknowledge any Tradesy alerts within the first four days, the order will be automatically canceled just after midnight on the 5th morning. This means the authorization charge will drop off of your online statement within 1-2 business days.

After your order is confirmed

When the seller confirms your order, they're prompted to ship within 10 days from when you purchased. Then, once the seller's mail carrier scans your package, Tradesy will send you the tracking details. Make sure you've provided us a valid email address you regularly check or your phone number to receive text alerts, so you don't miss a thing.
